Cookie policy
Which cookies this site sets, and which it does not.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on the next visit. They are how a site remembers anything at all between pages.
What this site sets
Nothing. Dollars & Decisions sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics cookie, no preference cookie and no login, because there is nothing to log in to. That is also why you have not been shown a consent banner: a banner asking permission for cookies that do not exist would be theatre.
What other companies may set
Two things on these pages come from elsewhere.
- Photographs load from the Pexels image CDN. Serving an image requires your IP address; to our knowledge it does not involve a cookie.
- Advertising, where it runs, is delivered by an advertising network. Networks commonly use cookies or similar technologies to measure how often an advert has been shown and to choose which advert to show. Those cookies are set by the network under its own policy, not by us.
When advertising is running on this site, this page will name the network and link to its cookie and privacy policies. It will be updated before, not after.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them in future — usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can block third-party cookies entirely without breaking this site, because nothing here depends on one.
Browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal and, increasingly, global privacy controls. We honour them by not tracking anyone in the first place.
